MindStream Academy - A Health and Fitness Boarding School

What if … there was a place your child could go and reach their fullest potential? A place where he or she can begin to believe in themselves, learn skills for a lifetime of healthy habits, be around people who understand what they are going through, and can help them get to the bottom of what’s eating them. Such a place does exist – a home away from home that provides relief for those suffering the physical, emotional and social struggles of weight. That place is MindStream Academy. Here, obese teens learn healthy living habits that will support and nourish their mind, body and soul. By supporting the whole child- not just weight loss -our students are shown the path to lifelong health and wellness.

The MindStream Difference

  • Our Program

The MindStream program is comprehensive and holistic; evidence-based and sensible. It addresses all of the basic skills required for losing weight and finding health- while also addressing needs for acceptance, support, belonging, and understanding. There are no short cuts here, there is no gimmickry. What our students learn about health is like learning to ride a bike- it cannot be unlearned.
  • Our Campus

Located a stone’s throw away from the breathtaking beaches of South Carolina and vibrant Savannah, GA - our facilities provide the perfect setting where teens can safely explore the mental, emotional, physical and social factors that led them to this crossroad in life.
  • Our Students

MindStream students all unique - they come from across the country, each with their own needs, goals and objectives. However, there is one thing all of our students share: they want to move forward towards positive lifestyle change. And MindStream is where they come to make that happen.
  • I love being in South Carolina and at MindStream Academy. I never thought I would be 214 pounds when I arrived here first weighing 326 pounds. I want to join the military and am confident that I will be able to because I love exercising and I am a leader and role model to my peers now. Now I know if I train a little harder I can do anything.

  • I left my previous school because of anger and weight issues; I was lost and wieght was the secondary problem. I began attending MindStream and my time here has been a huge success. I have slimmed down, but most importantly, I have beomce stronger mentally and physically. Overall, I'm a happier less stressed and much stronger. I am a better, kinder person.

  • I was only 15 years old and weighed 275 pounds when I received an invitation to MindStream. I met every single goal I came here with. The girl that I was is completely gone now and I will never see her again. This new girl is happy, outgoing and believes in herself.
